Discover this radiant artwork, painted by Henri Jonas, a talented artist and grandson of the painter Lucien Jonas (Anzin 1880-Paris 1947). This captivating painting depicts two fishing boats beached on a Breton shore. In the background, a charming Breton house emerges, while in the foreground, a fisherman catches our eye.

This enchanting landscape unfolds in Sauzon, on the island of Belle-Île-en-Mer, in the Morbihan department of Brittany. The painter dedicated many works to this magnificent region. This oil painting was executed on a wooden panel, and it is presented in a frame that highlights its beauty. You will find the artist's signature in the lower left corner.

Henri Jonas studied art in Belgium, being close to the French border in the Nord region. He regularly exhibited in Paris, Lille, and Valenciennes, and always made a living from his art. His artistic career began with winning a young painting prize, and since then, he has successfully pursued his passion.

He exhibited for four years at the Galerie Lauriston, founded by a resistance doctor during the Second World War. He also exhibited for four years at Ror Volmar, located in the Faubourg Saint-Antoine, as well as at the Galerie du Marais, run by Mr. Guy Max Hirri, near the Place des Vosges, for twenty-four years. For eleven years, he exhibited at the Salle Saint-Médart in the 5th arrondissement of Paris. In 2013, Henri had an exhibition at the "Galerie du 16e", from January 25 to February 6, 2013.
