Imposing Nevers earthenware planter from the Montagnon factory, entirely hand-painted in the Rouen style.
The original handles are shaped and decorated with a mascaron featuring a man's face with ram's horns.
The bottom of the pot is pierced to allow excess water to drain.
Period: Late 19th century.
