Superb pair of Paris porcelain cachepots dating from the late 19th or very early 20th century.
These elegant cachepots feature rich, hand-painted polychrome floral decoration. The bouquets of roses, pansies, lilacs, and wildflowers are delicately executed in a typically French romantic style.
Each piece is adorned with two lion's head handles enhanced with gilding. A gilded frieze also highlights the lower part of the decoration.
The decoration differs slightly from one cachepot to another, testifying to quality craftsmanship. Both pieces have a drainage hole at the base, allowing them to be used as planters or cachepots.
An ideal decorative pair for a chateau, country house, romantic, or shabby chic interior.
