Longwy Enamel Dish – FFF France vs Scotland 1950 – Referee Gift

Rare Longwy enamel dish, handcrafted and decorated, commemorating the France vs Scotland international match on May 27, 1950, in Paris (Stade de Colombes). Official match gift. An unfindable item for collectors.

At the center is a Gallic rooster surrounded by a laurel wreath and topped with the inscription F.F.F. (Fédération Française de Football - French Football Federation), a strong symbol of French sporting heritage.
The decoration features superb cloisonné enamels on a turquoise crackled background, typical of the Longwy factory.

On the reverse:
“France – Scotland May 27, 1950 Paris” + Longwy stamp – hand-decorated – France

This piece was reportedly presented to the official match referee, Mr. Arque, making it a rare ceremonial object, intended for a very select circle.

=> Match won by France 3–0, in the context of the post-war renewal of international football.
