Set of 8 Haviland "Vieux Paris" dinner plates

In the 1960s, a Rouart model from 1911, already named Vieux Paris, was found in the Haviland archives and subsequently produced. The Vieux Paris design is one of Haviland's flagship creations. The patterns on this service are entirely typical of Marie Antoinette's taste. This service is similar to a design from the Sèvres Manufactory dating from the 18th century. A scatter of purple, blue, and gold cornflowers highlights a laurel garland, which forms a medallion serving as a frame for a floral bouquet.
