About Saint Louis:
The Saint Louis crystal glassworks is the oldest crystal manufacturer in continental Europe still in operation. Founded in Lorraine in 1586 and becoming a royal crystal glassworks under Louis XV in 1767, it is now part of the Hermès group. It is renowned for the quality of its mouth-blown and hand-cut crystal, as well as for its creations for major diplomatic houses, embassies, and French palaces.
The Chantilly model, introduced in the second half of the 20th century, is distinguished by the richness of its cut decorations and its range of double-overlay colored crystal. It follows the tradition of Roemer glasses, originally used for white wines, which were highly prized in European table arts.
