Hard Porcelain – Hand-Painted Neoclassical Decor – Late 18th / Early 19th Century

In the hushed silence of Saxon workshops, at the turn of the 18th and 19th centuries, this cup of Meissen porcelain was born, radiant with finesse and mastery.
A piece from the prestigious Marcolini period (1790–1814), an era when the German manufactory reached a pinnacle of stylistic refinement.

The cup and saucer feature a vibrant neoclassical decor, combining:
— bold and luminous orange and purple chevrons,
— delicate pink flowers entirely hand-painted,
— gilded garlands and stars, applied with a brush with remarkable precision.

Each motif, each nuance, seems to tell the story of the patient hand of an exceptional decorator. Underneath the pieces are the famous crossed swords of Meissen, accompanied by the initial “CD”, a workshop signature.
