Exceptional and spectacular 19th-century oil on canvas, inspired by the famous equestrian portrait of Charles I by Anthony van Dyck, a baroque masterpiece housed in the Louvre Museum.

Created in the 19th century, this monumental interpretation was commissioned to adorn the walls of a château. It is a large-scale decorative work, designed to structure a space and assert status.

The composition faithfully reproduces the nobility and theatricality of the original model:
Charles I stands elegantly beside his horse, in an open landscape with dramatic skies, typical of grand baroque painting.

Due to its extraordinary architectural format, this work was intended for vast reception halls, libraries, or monumental staircases.
