A moving religious souvenir frame dating from 1909, created for the beatification of Joan of Arc in Rome during the pontificate of Pope Pius X.

The composition features three photographs:

• at the top, Pope Pius X,
• in the center, Joan of Arc,
• at the bottom, a view of the Vatican.

Two escutcheons frame Joan of Arc: on the left, the papal coat of arms, on the right, the French fleurs-de-lis, symbols of the saint and of France.
The whole is enhanced with a brown ink decoration depicting foliage and ribbons, typical of early 20th-century religious iconography.

On the back, a handwritten inscription from the period:

Souvenir of my pilgrimage to Rome – Easter 1909 – P. de Charmez

This frame is a rare historical and spiritual testament, evoking the fervor of French pilgrimages to Rome during the beatification of the Maid of Orléans.

Original wooden frame, old glass, aged patina.
Good overall condition with traces of time consistent with its age.
